Personal data protection

This notice explains how we process personal data when you use the website, contact forms, questionnaires, cookies, and external content.

What Data We Process

We process data that you submit, data needed to operate and secure the website, and data disclosed to external services when you use them.

  • Identification and contact data: name, email, and optionally phone number.
  • Enquiry content: message, pre-filled questionnaire text, selected options, amounts, horizons, and other data you enter in the form.
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, request time, visited page, security logs, and cookie preferences.

Purposes and Legal Basis

We link every purpose to a specific legal basis; acknowledging the notice in a form is not itself a legal basis for processing.

  • Handling an enquiry related to a requested service and contacting you back: steps at your request before entering into a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Handling a general message, organising communication, and reasonably forwarding an enquiry to a cooperating adviser: legitimate interest in efficient enquiry handling under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Technical operation, diagnostics, security, and abuse prevention: legitimate interest in safe and reliable operation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Audience measurement through Google Tag Manager, advertising through Google AdSense, optional cookies, and loading the Fingo affiliate calculator: consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can change at any time in cookie settings.
  • Compliance with legal obligations: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR; establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims: legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Recipients and Processors

We make data available only to the extent needed to deliver and handle the enquiry.

  • Internal team or cooperating adviser if needed to handle your enquiry.
  • Technical processors, especially the Render hosting service, Resend email service, Usercentrics' Cookiebot consent-management platform, and Google Tag Manager and Google AdSense for measurement and advertising according to your consent settings.
  • Fingo when you knowingly allow and use its embedded affiliate calculator; data entered directly in the calculator is processed under Fingo's own privacy information.
  • OpenStreetMap Foundation and its map-infrastructure providers when the price map is displayed; they receive the technical request needed to deliver map tiles, not contact-form data.
  • Public authorities or other persons if required by law or to protect legal claims.

Cookies and External Content

We use necessary technologies for secure operation and to store your settings. You decide on optional categories through Cookiebot.

  • Cookiebot records your choice and lets you change it later through permanently available cookie settings.
  • We use Google Tag Manager and Google AdSense according to your Cookiebot choices for audience measurement, tag management, and advertising. Optional storage and personalization remain disabled without the corresponding consent.
  • The Fingo affiliate calculator does not load without marketing consent. After consent, Fingo may receive your IP address, browser data, affiliate identifiers, and data that you enter into the calculator.
  • OpenStreetMap tiles load only when you visit the price map as user-requested functional content. We do not send the page referrer to the provider.
  • Specific cookies, their providers, purposes, and lifetimes are listed in Cookiebot's technical declaration.

Transfers Outside the EU/EEA

Some technical providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.

  • Render, Resend, and Google may process data in the United States. Depending on the circumstances, we rely on an adequacy decision, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and supplementary technical measures.
  • For other transfers outside the EU/EEA, we use an appropriate GDPR mechanism. You can request information about the specific safeguard or a copy at kontakt@skontroluj.sk.

How Long We Keep Data

We do not keep data longer than needed to handle the enquiry, demonstrate lawful processing, or protect legal claims.

  • Enquiry content and contact data are generally kept for no more than 24 months after the last communication.
  • Form-submission evidence, the notice version, and related records are generally kept for no more than 4 years for accountability and legal claims.
  • Technical and security logs are kept according to provider settings only for the period needed for diagnostics, security, and incident handling. Cookie lifetimes are listed in Cookiebot.

Your Rights

As a data subject, you have rights under the GDPR and can exercise them at kontakt@skontroluj.sk.

  • Right of access to personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, and completion of incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability where the legal conditions are met.
  • Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • You may withdraw consent to optional cookies at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority at dataprotection.gov.sk.

Requirement to Provide Data and Automated Decision-Making

Providing data in the form is voluntary, but without your name and email we cannot reply. The required checkbox only confirms that you have read this notice; it is not marketing consent.

  • We do not use form data for automated individual decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Calculators and questionnaires provide indicative calculations or compile a message; final contact and assessment are handled by a person.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice if the processing method, processors used, or legal requirements change.

  • The current version will always be available on this page.
  • We will communicate material processing changes appropriately before they take effect.
